I don’t know who is to blame either, but it’s difficult to point a finger at Whiting here. We do not have a coach in a major sport who has not seen his fair share of transfers. Player relations have been argued to be strengths of both Sitake and Pope (though not unanimously, particularly with Pope). It hasn’t stopped transfers from happening; football in particular has been hit by major defections.
What is the transfer situation supposed to look like for Coach Whiting? How is she to outperform more established coaches at BYU in this regard?
