NCAA develops a lot of higher end talent for the draft
A lot more resources, coaching, facilities and you’re playing against 18-24 yr olds. Fewer games and more practice/development.

Numbers wise the CHL still holds the majority of all drafted players. It’s probably closer to 65-70 now then 90 but its

Almost no one is drafted out of high school, at least in the top rounds.
