Yes, you can for all ESPN+ games.

Games that are on the app that are from ESPN/2/U cannot be started from the beginning but games that are + games can be. I'm not sure why that is, but it's never been a problem because I can DVR those on my Hulu streaming service and have the ability to start it whenever I want. Super easy to fast forward through commercials too. I started yesterdays game about 30-40 min into it and we were at live by the very end.
