Let’s just say the right dude has taken over the program now and rumor has it the bank account is approaching $5M.
That is MUCH worse than I thought... it must have been REALLY bad before if this is what the "right guy" taking over has done.
A couple months back a guy involved with the Arkansas NIL fund told me they had 120M in their fund. BYU has a long way to go for sure... BYU/BOT has to decide if they want to participate in major college athletics or not.
Population wise, I think Utah can support at least 1 semi pro team... what BYU has going for it is there are probably more BYU fans who live outside of Utah than in Utah... With the support BYU gets from outside the state it is possible that Utah could support two semi pro teams... If the BOT decides to play ball then its a slam dunk... BYU is in.
