Just got back.

We did two days in all of the following places and loved it:

Rome, Cinque Terre, Florence, Venice, Lake Como/Milan.

Rome: Ancient Rome and the Vatican are incredible. Try to stay near the Trevi Fountain. Such a cool atmosphere. Loved getting up early and running downtown with now tourists. So rad! The Sistine chapel is breathtaking. St Peters Basilica is amazing. Mass is at 5 pm daily. Hit mass if you are there at that time! Michealangelos Pieta is right at the entrance in St Peters. Incredible.


Cinque Terre: hike the 8 mile trail between all 5 towns. Get gelato and pastries in each town. Awesome. Stay in Vernazza.

Pisa: just a quick stop to see the tower. Must see. Amazing to stand up close to it.

Florence: leather shopping, food, the duomo, climb the bell tower, see the David, go to the Uffizi, cross pointe Vecchia. My favorite stop. Stay close to the duomo. Amazing atmosphere.

Venice: we stayed right on the central canal by the Rialto bridge. Great location. San Marco square, st marks basilica. Try to catch an opera if you can! Ride in a gondola. Find the mission impossible bridge. And just get lost shopping and walking.

Como: take a ferry to Bellagio. If you enjoy cycling, bike to the church of the cyclist.

Milan: the duomo is amazing. If you want to see the last supper, you have to get tickets months in advance. Go to an AC Milan game if they are in town to see Pulisic.

Rick steves has an app for a free guided audio tour for all the famous sites in Italy. Really fantastic stuff.

I used Tiqets to get all my tickets for the museums. Worked great.
