So using your logic…
…if Steph is Golden State’s best scorer while shooting an avg of 18.8 times a game (avg’d 29.1 pts) then if GS had him double his shot attempts to 37.6 per game then his scoring should double as well at 58.2 pts a game. And continuing that logic, if he could do that wile doubling his shot attempts then they should have him double that again and take 75.2 shots a game so he could avg 116.4 pts a game, right?

Problem with the “if more is better, then even more should be even better” theory is there is a law of diminishing returns. Right now we have a good balance within our player rotation and it’s still early in the season while playing the cupcake portion of our schedule. At this point there is no point to playing him more but maybe we’ll see him get more minutes when we get into conference play and we’re facing top 25 teams week in and week out and we need his scoring ability more.

I’m ok with Pope trying to distribute the playing time and getting more guys involved. It will pay off later in the season.
