losing by 35 to a conference runner up isn’t as bad as losing by one score on the road to a conference runner up. or
losing by one score on the road in terrible weather against a top 5 rushing team and a team that spent much of the year ranked.
and btw, the runner up OU lost to was in the conference that beat the SEC head to head.
either OU got screwed by the refs and should’ve been in the championship game with a shot at the playoffs or OU got screwed by the committee ranking worse teams higher. reality is both are true.
and if wins matter like the committee says, beating texas is 10 times better than beating tulane at home.
