LOL... I worked on the grounds grew 35 years ago. Didn't have anything to do with the field. I just drove heavy equip
ment and street sweepers.
From what I have read the grass is way overdue to be replaced.
Don't know anything about the crown of the field and the sand underneath. I know that the field has done very well for the past 20 years.
They will need to get a hardier turf in the endzone now bc we are required by the Big XII to paint them
