the case with the team experience.

It may not make a huge difference, but I’ve learned one small thing that helps me to control my emotions a little better: Nose breathing when possible.

It’s a little tricky to project your voice, and still remain breathing in and out of your nose. Try a few minutes of practicing it.

We mouth-breathe in high-energy, fight-or-flight situations, and it heightens awareness and heartbeat, along with everything that comes with the sympathetic nervous system.

If you can simply breathe slowly in and out of your nose, it’s nearly automatic that your HR will drop, and emotions will settle somewhat.
