At 4, I sat watching my parents teach my older brother and sister to swim.
I went to the side of the pool and gave it a go. I ended up walking on the bottom to shallow water. I raised my hand so I would be chosen. A cut blond teenage girl in a pink bikini dove in and saved me. As I was walking along the bottom it seemed like I could breath like Aquaman. I did not cough up any water when I was pulled out. My parents did not teach me to swim after that. I learned in 5th grade.
