I feel bad for Gordon Monson, but I think a little introspection on his part might be good. There was a week just a couple of weeks ago where I was really excited about all the news surrounding BYU football and the big 12, and I would tune in on drives hoping to hear some commentary on those things, but all I kept hearing was all of these gimmicky non-sports things. I could sense that his cohost was getting frustrated with him. I kept thinking, “who tunes in to hear this stuff?” I felt it was a little blind for them not to see that people could care less about the dumb things they were talking about and wanted to hear more about sports. I know that sometimes there is room for joking, and talking about their things for a moment, but it seemed to be taking over an in ordinate amount of his commentary. Even when they were on a sports topic he would try to take it to test some stupid Insta pole that had nothing to do with what seemed important to sports fans here in Utah. I may be alone but if a lot of people felt the way that I did I am not surprised that they decided to let him go.
