Exactly. Because he did nothing to get good connections in local programs. They all really didn't like his style.
It's an aissue locally. Bill Riley at 700 has connections with the Utah program, Criddle has them with BYU, and Socky G at 1280 has them with USU. But no other 1280 guys really work on local connections. Not GoMo, nor DJ, and not PK anymore. He used to have them but they're gone. So those guys don't talk local college sports too well, and offer little program insights. Jazz they got though. About it.
