And, to be honest, one of the options they are looking at in our district is pretty close to year round. About 6 or 7 weeks on, a week long break in the fall, 6 or 7 weeks on, a long thanksgiving break, about 4 weeks on, 2 weeks for christmas ... and again in the spring.

Push to more a full year round schedule for me ....

BUT, if year round ... how do you make High school work especially things like sports and activities? How does classes like AP work or Choir (classes where you might have only one or two sections ... so everyone has to be on the same track to make that work). How do you do sports with tracks or long breaks?
