Let me stop you right there.

He still would have to win the chasmpionship each of those years without the Zags.  I think we would have won maybe a couple times.  The better team doen't always win that game and Rose never seems to win even favored games post season easily.

Other than that, I completly agree with your logic that Rose/BYU are only slightly performing below average and not as poorly as everyone seems to think.  The problem is slightly below average for BYU is never going to make the dance.  In college basketball it's all or nothing for the dance.  There is glory in every game for millions of people even if you lose.  No dance, no glory.
