It's that BYU has demonstrably gotten worse, year after year, since 2011.

I can live with being second fiddle to Gonzaga if BYU was still playing well enough to garner some respect and make the NCAAs as a low seed. But that's not what happened...at all.

In fact, I'll say that Gonzaga's coattails have helped the conference as a whole get better. My seat-of-the-pants opinion is that every program in the WCC has improved since BYU joined except Portland and BYU itself.

So, yeah, we joined a conference with a Duke equivalent but we went from being a top 30 team to a bubble NIT program. Again....a bubble NIT program. Not great IMO.
