as a guy with many of the guys asking for this in his FO and seeing their points and arguments for why they want it I can tell you that is not really the case.

If you ( I'm using "you" as a general term) were just logically opposing their views with reasoned counters I don't think any of them would be asking for this. But that isn't what is happening.

What happens is that there is a group of posters on here who either coordinate with each other to mock others posts or else have simply developed an affinity for each other to the point that they have developed a gang mentality. So as a group they team up and start thumbing down, laughing at, and mocking posts by posters that aren't part of their pathetic group. It may not be a coordinated effort but it is certainly a group effort and it is very predictable.

I have had it happen to me and I have seen it happen to others and it isn't a rare occurrence, it happens a lot. It has even gotten to the point that BM's are sent by these guys to the poster they are trying to mock, yes I know this to be true because I have seen them.

And there are people that are tired of being ganged up on. Most of us can handle one or two jackasses at a time mocking us but when it become 5 or 10 it is a little overwhelming and they just don't want to deal with it.

And that is the point of all this, most of you opposing a recip ignore are not doing so from a position of moral or philosophical high ground, you are doing it to protect your ability to mock the posters you dislike and to gang up on them and by doing so make yourselves feel like you really do occupy some position of correctness because you have all of this "support" from your squad of sycophants.

This isn't news to you though, or to those that want a recip ignore, everyone knows its true.
