Sorry, I know I'm still doing it, and I know that you're probably right, BUT...
...as great of an elite national powerhouse as LSU certainly is, BYU is kind of catching them at the right time and with almost as good of matchups as could be hoped for.
If BYU were playing LSU in LSU's 5th or 6th game of the season -- heck, even if it were LSU's 2nd game of the season, BYU's odds would diminish significantly.
Honestly, Holmoe getting that Portland State game at the last moment was brilliant, and it will really effect the LSU game in a positive way for BYU. I suspect that will make a bigger difference than many people realize.

Might as well be. It's not like Houston isn't too far from Baton Rouge, and it's not deep in LSU territory.
