Jake has fought the good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith
Thanks, James foe your poignant and powerful tribute to Jake. He is everything you and others in this thread have said he is. There is no better man I know than Jake.

I have a unique perspective, as Jake's father-in-law. The fact that he was a lifelong Cougar fan immediately endeared him to me and we spent many wonderful hours in stadiums and arenas cheering for the Cougs. But as good a fan as he was, he is even a better man. Everyone likes him. He is kind and thoughtful. He is smart and witty. And he is and is tenacious. He lived faithfully and courageously. He taught his family to be faithful and follow the Savior and he showed them how to do it

When he asked for Jordan's hand in marriage, he said he would take good care of her and the kids. He has done better than that. He has given them a legacy of faith, of trust in the Lord, and of a sure knowledge of the plan of salvation. He has gone on to his reward.

This year, and in seasons to come, I hope that when the Cougs win a big game, we look heavenward, think of Jake, know he is happy with the result, and know he is in a place where everyone is a Cougar fan.
