cajoled into making the full offer only after learning he was competing with BYU. The offer was conditional.
And even once it became one, it remains the case that Anae has only ever been offered an OC position by (a) his alma mater and (b) a former teammate coaching 40 miles away from his alma mater.
I'm not trying to knock Anae - I think he's a solid coach and the right fit for BYU right now - I just want to counter the various mythologies that crop up.
