Don't know much about them. Want best value - not cheapest, but quality for cost.

I would plan on hard wiring them. Would be for house and detached garage.

Not an IT person - EUFY. If you have a pretty good understanding of IT and networking - Unifi.

They work really well if you are in the ecosystem. The cameras are great and its nice having local storage without a nas

Eufy IMO. For the detached garage, I suggest a Reolink camera because it gives about a 180 degree view

If you are willing to wire up PoE with an NVR, Reolink is pretty dang good.

5e is fine. It can handle 1000 mb a second. 4K video needs 15.
