Is the committee actually under-ranking the Big 12, or does the data just say those teams are a bit worse?
I updated the efficiency metrics to expand to more “bubble” teams, including the top 5 Big 12 teams and other teams that aren’t even ranked by the committee right now.
Of this list, only Alabama, SMU, Indiana, and the Big 12 winner are on the right side of the committee’s cut line
This data suggest the committee is correct to underseed the Big 12 teams.
I could add resume metrics if requested.
