Idk maybe it’s me, but there’s no way Jay Hill is leaving BYU to be the HC at
Utah State. Maybe 10 years ago, but not now given the current landscape and reality of college football.
Doubt USU could pay him much more than he’s getting now as DC, and if they do BYU surely matches and then raises that. Seems obvious with the success that BYU has had this year a big raise is already in the works, regardless of who does or doesn’t come calling.
Zero worry whatsoever that he’s gone. I’d put more stock into him being the Utah DC than the Utah State HC, and if rumors were to swirl of Hill to Utah my worry would be mayyybe a 1/10.
Would be an absolute home run for USU tho, a LaVell/Urban level hire. Just don’t see it
