When the rankings first came out, my initial response (besides checking for BYU’s ranking and reacting to it) was why is Utah above K state? So they beat OKST on the road, and K state beat them at home, but if outcomes vs mutual opponents mattered, both teams got to play Arizona at home. Let me remind you that K state won in blowout fashion, and Utah lost, almost in blowout fashion. Then my next thought has been “wait a minute, why is Utah above Arizona?” Both have 1 loss. Arizona’s is to a ranked K state on the road , Utah’s is at home. Although this shouldn’t matter, sometimes teams have such a high ranking because of the state of their program. Arizona last season is coming off a NY6 win, and Utah an 8-5 season. Oh and Arizona dog walked them last year too. So because people falsely hyped up Utah, they still are benefiting from that. They don’t belong in the top 20. They don’t belong to be above K state and Arizona
