What would you do?
I'm in a role right now in AZ. I used to love it, but 15 years in and I'm ready for change. Most days leave me pretty mentally down. The current role is a deadend itself with no real opportunity for professional or financial growth here in AZ. However, we have a cheap mortgage and the kids are settled. As I said, the day to day is really wearing on me. Within the company there are some opportunities that open up to move (I'd really like to go to the east coast), but most come with different responsibilities but no real salary increase, minus a little cost of living. However, the lifestyle out east would match what I'm looking for.

On the other hand, I'm interviewing for a gig within the company in Salt Lake. It's a minimal pay increase, but does come with a manager role that would mix things up, provide me different experiences, and be good if I ever want to switch companies. Housing is pricey in Utah and other than getting season tickets to Cougar sports, I don't really want to move back to Utah.

What would you do?

A.) Stay where I'm at and wait it out, hoping for gigs coming open in the next year or two.

B.) Take the job in Utah if offered.

C.) Other.
