Only two teams exceeded 80% conversions on 4th down last year

I put no. I don’t think there is enough data to always go for it on 4th.

(11 3rd down conversions + 8 4th down conversions) / (39 3rd downs) = 1st downs 48.7% of the time

I'm extremely conservative and hate risk. I like punting on 4th down

I wish BYU's chosen strategy was to convert 3rd downs more often than just once

Rule should be 1 punt per quarter.

BYU is punting 4 times a game, which is about average nationally.

It's a non-issue if BYU could actually convert on 3rd downs. 4th worst in the nation this year; 2nd worst last year.
