Japan Coug Intervention Needed
In addition to warranties and repairs, my OP also mentioned that the technology
and gas mileage are usually a lot better on new cars. My case for buying new instead of used isn’t just about repair costs and maintenance costs, but about the whole package. What you get relative to what you’re paying for.

I agree that if your only consideration is monetary operating expenses, and getting from point A to point B with no regard for anything else, then maybe buying new isn’t for you, even with warranties, maintenance, repairs, and the technological and gas mileage advantages for the newer cars.
