Brian was involved, but Tom also knows what fans think of Santiago and is
trying to boost him up.
Brian is a my way or the highway type of guy which is why he butted heads with Pope. IMO that is not what you want in an administrator who should defer to the head coach.
But Brian loves BYU. He wants what is best for the University. He just rubs a lot of people the wrong way.
