The Broncos moved down like 20 spots in the 6th round. That’s nothing. They have to pay him under $3 million. That’s nothing in NFL terms.
He’a not worthless. But he certainly isn’t viewed as a good backup. He’s viewed as a high reward, zero risk type guy. Worst case, he sucks and the Broncos get to draft high next year. Best case, they can turn him around.
But they aren’t investing anything in him to see if he can turn it around. A 6th/7th round pick swap and $3 million is peanuts.
