They hold their value because the internet has blown the cover on how good they are. Our 2008 with 181k miles and kids
beating the crap out of it is STILL quieter on the inside than my brand new Tacoma that has been babied with only 20k miles.
They are incredible machines. But if you want to tow, the Sequioa is your best bet, nothing makes up for the stability you can with the width and wheelbase increase. Prices should be better than the GX too. And while the platinum trim is quite up to Lexus standards, it's very nice.
