My anecdote

I am trying to convince my wife to throw out all of our long term plans and move to Corpus Christi. I really enjoy that city but most people especially other Texans really dont love it.

A lot of really interesting properties being sold there for affordable prices. I bookmark 2-3 every day that are advertising STR income and fully furnished. Its incredible, these people are just trying to get out of the business as quickly as possible.

This is actually becoming quite common all over the Texas hill country. Just scrolling through listings in Canyon Lake for example and its hard to find a sub $500k home for sale that ISNT an obvious failed Airbnb.
