It's pretty awesome. Stay "ahead" of your nutrition.
By that, I mean ... eat and drink BEFORE you feel hungry or thirsty, because by the time you're hungry and thirsty, it'll be too late and you'll "bonk" or be out of energy and start getting loopy. Have "real food" not just energy bars and stuff. For me, I took some flavored tuna fish packets for protein. You can wrap them in tortillas. The apple sauce/veggie sauce pouches are good. Have something with electrolytes, like Liquid IV. Know where your water stops are so you can refill.

My friend actually didn't do well enough with his nutrition and bonked, and it was a real slog for him getting back up the mountain. I used that story in devotionals with YSAs about taking our "spiritual nutrition" BEFORE our testimonies are in crisis ... building up the strength for when things are challenging AHEAD of time.

Anyway, have some first aid for blisters. I really liked my bone conduction headphones to keep my mind occupied in the long slog up at the end, but so I could still chat with other people.

I really loved that hike with my buddies.
