than Interlaken. Murren was one of the MOST amazing places I've ever stayed. That is #1 on my list of places I want to go back to in Europe. That whole valley is so amazing. It's easy to see why it was the inspiration for Rivendell. Whether you stay in Murren, Grindelwald, or Lauterbrunnen itself...just stay there in that valley! Murren and Grindelwald are only accessible by tram, and so there's no cars there and they're higher up in the mountains so feel a little more magical.
