As someone who has traveled to Kentucky many, many times over the years I
completely disagree with you. Most folks are nice, the coal industry is full of crooks, the horse culture is cool, the food is average, and the number of obese people and folks missing teeth is impressive. Oh, and don't forget the people of the Commonwealth's love of tobacco--amazing that Kentucky has not figured out the dangers of tobacco. I love the smell of cigarettes while eating at a restaurant.

I'll take the national parks, skiing, outdoor activities etc., over Kentucky every day. Folks from Kentucky come to Utah to vacation and not the other way around--at least not at the same clip. I have entertained many colleagues from Kentucky who come to Utah to ski in the winter and visit national parks in the summer. To each their own.
