Chip Brown's recent tweets pimping Pitt speak volumes. He is a shill for Texas. He writes what Texas wants him to write. Earlier, he was pimping BYU. Now Pitt. This coming shortly after BYU's press release which announced nothing. In my post above, I noted that BYU would never announce that they weren't going to join the Big 12- that if they rejected the Big 12, they would do it professionally in a way that would let the Big 12 save face. BYU's ultimate announcement could be just that. It's the announcement they would have given earlier in the day if they didn't think they were going to the Big 12.
The Big 12 now courting Pitt may suggest that the Big 12 realizes BYU is serious in its demands and that the Big 12 may not be able or willing to meet those demands. That puts the Big 12 on VERY shaky ground.
If BYU said no, I see almost no chance Pitt says yes. That leaves the Big 12 to crumble. They may not have even realized it yet.
If we start hearing about Houston, Louisville or SMU from Chip Brown as real possibilities, start looking for the Big 12's imminent demise.
