I know that there are current events that have brought these to everyone's attention, but I'm letting you know that the following topics are (according to the board rules) taboo:

Whether it's okay to see R-rated movies. You are free to discuss "The Passion" all you want, including whether it's too gory for kids, etc, but don't get into the debate about whether R-rated movies are against LDS church doctrine/policy/suggestion/whatever or not.

Homosexual marriage. Again, you are free to discuss current events regarding gay marriages in San Fran, Massachusetts, etc. However, this isn't the place to discuss the rightness/wrongness of it. For the LDS among you, I'm sure the General Authorities will discuss the matter at length at General Conference a month from now....
