best option available... I realize overall BYU doesn't size up to Notre Dame and what they bring to the table. But the Y is a very interesting 2nd option. I could easily see them scheduling better programs consistently and I could also see ESPN signing with the Y...

If Utah goes to the Pac 10, then the Boise addition doesn't even become a wash. Yes they are good but well shy of the Utes when you look at the big picture (Basketball, fanbase, academics etc...)

So if big 12 pac 10 merger happens, and Notre Dame stays independent, then the Y better make their move or they will be left out of the future playoffs/bowl opportunities...
