The turn in the game last night happened when Cryer hit the 3 and then a flagrant 1 was called. Cryer then hit 1 of 2..
From the line followed by another two pointer. The lead went from 14 down to 8 in just a few seconds and the pressure began to mount on Duke.

Duke only had 4 turnovers to that point, but then had 3 very critical ones down the stretch.

But what Houston did in that final stretch was play lights out defense. The only field goal in the last 10 minutes by Duke was the 3 pointer by Flagg with about two and a half minutes left in the game. Yeah, Duke missed a couple open shots from the perimeter, but the rest of the shots were contested. Also Flagg settled for some lower percentage fade aways and runners.

Bill Raftery said the last shot by Flagg was a good one. But the defense on him was as good as the defense Mag put on Tonje. Flagg was forced into a fade away which was short.

But even so, Duke was still up 9 with 90 seconds left. The way that game ended, to give a shout-out to another sport, felt a lot like Jason Lezak chasing down Alain Bernard in the 4x100 relay in the '08 Olympics.

That was one of the greatest NCAA tournament games I've ever watched.
