I think the average ALUF is softening on BYU because a large percentage of them are sending their kids to BYU. This is not a lie--more than half the Ute fans I know really well have sent one or more kids to BYU.

Replacing the ALUFs in intesity are the Utah State Aggie LDS fans. They are all certain that BYU is an apostate institution and that the truth lies up in Ogden.
