I don’t know anything about Minecraft (I am old), but these theaters are going wild over this movie. Unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And now projected by some for a $165m opening weekend domestic now after initial projections were around $60m.

Sidenote: when I worked in a movie theater in high school (not that long ago, smartphones and iPhones existed) filming in a theater was expressly illegal and if I ever found anyone doing it they would give me a $500 bonus (which was huge cause I made like $50 gross per 8 hour shift!). Now you’ve got kids filming entire portions of movies on their phones for TikTok (I am old).
