He's got to with uncertainty about Egor staying/going & KY's pursuit of a PG...
... via the Transfer portal.
Is this a signal that Egor's more likely to stay, or that they are close to signing another PG?
These will be tough situations as some like Richie, Egor, and guys like Yaxel (if we get him) will really be exploring the NBA draft process and may decide very late whether or not they will stay with the team.
I think of Catchings and Crawford who signed with BYU before they got Demin and Boskovich. Those guys had less minutes available (Crawford couldn't break into the rotation at all) due to guys added after they signed.
Tough situations with the portal and I don't begrudge guys entering as a precautionary measure.
