He started out pretty poorly. Looked awful against SMU and not very good against Wyoming.
Then he turned it up a notch during the next 6-7 games and looked like he was on the verge of becoming elite.
Then the last 3-4 games he showed a lot of inaccuracy and some poor decisions that cost us dearly (the endzone INT versus Kansas... several missed throws versus ASU).
He can definitely be Jekyl/Hyde. If he wants to even sniff a Heisman Trophy (and it's a loooooong shot), he needs to be way more consistent and eliminate some of his boneheaded mistakes.
(I'll add that I think JR is a very good college QB and I'm glad we have him coming back. There's just a big difference between a "good" college QB and an elite college QB that ends up in the Heisman conversation.)
