AND Mark Pope. Who was TRYING to do it — but without the pocketbook.
He made his point loud & clear that the BYU HC SHOULD BE working his tail off year-round trying to make BYU live up to its national-stage potential.
I do think part of the reason Admins turned a new leaf hard when Pope got the UK job — is they didn't want BYU to be exposed as cheap when Pope instantly became a recruiting tycoon in Lexington.
On a different note, Pappa Dybantsa needs some love regarding the OP, too.
