1. I think Lee is a good hire. He's also a safe hire. Not a flashy hire, but I think he'll surprise us with how the program progresses under his leadership. He would have made more sense as the choice when Whiting was hired.
2. Kind of surprising it took so long to make the hire an announcement since Lee was already associated with the program and was a finalist for the job the last time it was available. I guess no one can say they just made the easy choice, that they took their time to see who was available and vet any potential candidates.
3. If I'm remembering correctly Lee was acting HC for a few games at the end of the last regime and did well. The team played well and the team members seemed to rally around him. Having him as HC probably gives BYU the best shot at retaining Gibb and Woolston.
4. Now it's onto recruiting and putting together a staff. Both are vital and need to be done quickly. Hopefully, a bit more NIL $ will be available for topflight women's recruits with a new coach and a new direction.
