Utah State is a basketball school traditionally. BYU is a football school traditionally. If given a choice, most BYU fans would trade basketball success for football success.

But even if that’s true, BYU is a better situation than Utah State. Same with Alabama and Maryland. It’s all about the donor support, and even if more money goes to football, Alabama is still getting more NIL money than Maryland.
