They both want a shot at the American record. Chicago is flat and fast and typically has top-tier competition.
Would also give Casey Clinger enough time after NCAA Outdoors to get a full marathon training block in.

Not sure. He’s two years younger than Conner Mantz. If Casey runs Chicago, I can see him running a 2:08.
