Of course reporters need to have regular stories, so they have a tendency to create something out of almost nothing. I would agree, many of these stories are bothingburgers.

The key to figuring out who is emerging is listening to interviews with the coordinators and position coaches. Listen to who they talk about unprompted.

Again, many times reporters have stories about a specific player they want to write about. They’ll ask the coach a question about that specific player and of course the coaches are going to say nice things about those players. You can ignore that.

There are definitely some players who have emerged in Spring ball.
