(Sorry, been on a business trip)

Rough final game but such a fun season. We were excited going into the year and expected a season like this. Then it took the team and coaches 2-3 months to figure things out. Then the last 2 months of the season were an absolute enjoyment. We saw growth in the players and growth in the coaches. We found a star in Saunders. He rarely didn't disappoint once it was determined he was the man. Demin stepped it up big time during the tournament. Keita really improved a lot especially the last 2 months.

Saunders had himself a game. He was not enough of a ball hog. He was at a 1.33 pts/poss and his usage was only 25%. He needed to be more ball dominant. But that's not his style of play. Saunders is a baller and we can only hope he comes back next year. The gravity that AJ will have will open up a lot for him.

Overall BYU played an almost average offensive game. Defensively, of course, was a different story. For the past several games I've noticed that BYU has been going under the screens daring the other teams to shoot the 3. It bit BYU big time this time. Just an incredible shooting display by Bama and it wasn't just one player. Hats off to them and I hope they take care of Duke this next round. With how things go, Bama will probably make just 5 three pointers tomorrow. 🙂

It's a sad day when this is my last stats post of the season. BYU basketball is such an enjoyment in my life. It's something I spend a lot of time with my dad, my brothers, my sons, my nephews and several of the women in my family. Win or lose, Go Cougs!!!!!!!!!!!
