with your friend. The game is naturally slow with not a lot going on. Don't get me wrong there is nuance to it, but no matter what MLB does to help fix certain aspects baseball will always be one of the slowest games there is.
Football is perfect because while plays last 7 seconds or whatever, it keeps you engaged as you are then talking about what just happened and what you think they need to do next and then boom, another play and another chance to assess it.
Basketball is non-stop. Some don't like it as a single score means less than in other sports.
Hockey is too although with a lot less scoring so some find that to be less exciting (I love hockey).
Soccer is like hockey but instead of guys flying around on skates they are generally slowly jogging. While again there is nuance, I am convinced that soccer fans love soccer because you watch for 30 mins and nothing happens and then all of the sudden someone makes a great play. It is the tediousness in between that makes the play so exciting.
