I think continuity is a valuable commodity.
Yes you can succeed without it, but it is valuable to have a core of players that are familiar with the program and culture. BYU has benefited from that the past two years.

You have to find a way to balance that year to year, or else you could be like Cal and resetting your whole roster every season and have no culture sustainability.
