1 year ago. Of course, I wanted to win last night. I was furious about the game. It was the most prototypical performance for a team playing against BYU. A player struggling to hit shots goes absolutely nuclear and they break the all time 3 point record for an NCAA tournament game, and the team who shoots and makes more than anyone in the country (us), can't buy a 3 pointer. However, 1 year ago, 80% of our team was in the portal and it looked like we were hiring Quincy Lewis to replace Mark Pope. Kevin Young WILL bring BYU a national championship, IMO. And if Egor comes back next year, it could happen then. If not, maybe we'll get an all star transfer in the portal. Either way, it was a great season and an amazing turnaround. We made it to the sweet 16 for the first time since Jimmer and the third time ever, and we have a much higher ceiling going into next year and beyond.
